Cashier Job Description: I was hired as a cashier for Target prior to their grand opening. During the interview process they did not explain to me that the information I put down on the availability would be "cast in stone", i.e., unable to make changes to it. I worked a full time job in addition to this part time job and while I would have loved to stay at Target (I was and still am a huge fan) they simply would not accommodate my request to cut my hours. Unfortunate for them as I am/was mature, dependable, reliable, etc.

High SchoolTarget Interview Questions
Make sure when you put your availability down it is exactly what you are willing to work because Target will not work with you on it.
Working Conditions
Working conditions were brutal as CSL (or leads) had condescending attitudes. HR management had no real what was actually as it related to the field of HR. Coworkers, with a few minor exceptions, were great. However, there were some instances with co-workers where it appeared that Target may have scraped the bottom of the barrel. Some of the co-workers had poor hygiene and literally made me (us) gag when they were within 10 feet of us, imagine how a poor customer was going to feel!
Physical Requirements
Grunt work of all kinds.
Other Target Job Information
I admire and pity anyone that aspires to have a career in retail. It is most definitely the pits of all pits....
