Lowes Receiving Clerk, in Kalamazoo, Michigan
As a receiving clerk at Lowe's, you work in the back of the store, unloading semi-trucks, scanning products into inventory, and making sure that what comes in matches what was ordered.
Receiving Clerk Job Description
Receiving is probably one of the best jobs available at Lowe's. You get to work in the back of the store and are away from customers. It is a little more laid back, and you generally get to work at your own pace. You get to drive a forklift, and have a variety of duties to perform. Generally, you wait for semi trucks to arrive, unload them, and then check in the products that they delivered.

Lowes Interview Questions
The interview for the job was not intense. I was already an employee at the store when I interviewed for this position, so they knew my strengths and abilities already. It is important to talk about attention to detail, and thoroughness when interviewing for this position, as this is a large part of what you are responsible for.
Medical and dental insurance, and 401k available.
Most of the time you are inside the store, in the back. It is more secluded and quiet back there, so it is a bit more relaxed. Occasionally, you have to go outside to unload a truck, and if it is raining, or snowing, it can be a bit annoying. Overall, it is pleasant working conditions.
You do need to be prepared to do heavy lifting, and you are on your feet for most of the day. If you are under any physical restrictions, you would probably not be cut out for this job.
