Merchandiser Job Description: As a Kohl's Merchandiser you take items the overnight/unload freight flow team took from the truck to the floor with U-boats and carts. Stock shelves in an organized fashion. Adjust items so they are color coordinated and sized. Move items on a planagram to different designated locations chose by corporate and take things from stock rooms to floor if filling is needed (replenishment). Help out all customers that ask for help, smile and say "hi" (if within 3 feet you must greet), try to get customers to open credit or give email addresses, and recommend products if asked to. Mark down how much you put out at the end of your shift on color coated chart.

Working Conditions
It can be very stressful at times in the store. Sometimes customers will complain to you when you don't have what they want. Furthermore, it can get hectic during the holiday season, due to being understaffed. Kohls simply don't have enough workers to assist all the customers at once. Some of the customers can be rude, demand a manager or even cause a scene. However, it's very rewarding to make a child happy by handing them a toy from the back or helping an elderly person out by carrying something for them. Furthermore, it's rewarding seeing people come back and smile at you because they are happy with the recommendations you gave them. Sometimes you will come out of work and cramp up in the legs, due to so much running around for customers.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to walk around a store, have the mental capacity to help customers, work 4-8.5 hours, and lift at least 40 lbs.
