A Full Time Career and Full Time Education is not easy.

College and full time career.

Colleges today are designed to conform to people that are holding down a job while also managing a family.Half of the college student population is made up of non traditional age students. Non traditional students are much more likely to be holding down a full time job than other students and many are already even established in a job. Very often the employer requests that these people return to school and many times they will also pay for the classes.

Even employers realize that these people have adult responsibilities and expenses. It is very difficult for a person to work full time and take a full time schedule at school. The best advice is not to try to do both full times. Obviously work may have to take precedence and if that is true then go to school part time. It can take longer, but students will be more successful in the long run than if they take on too many courses. Students can go to school year-round if needed.

The best advice is to manage your time wisely and perfect your time management skills. If you are working it is always best if you have your employers support in this venture. Explain to your employer how valuable you believe this education will be and how you think it will enhance your communication skills. Ask employer for tuition support or support for books. Make sure that you take advantage of all of your company's flextime. Be honest and upfront about your school schedule and times you need to leave.
