Dicks Sporting Goods Cashier, in Roseville, Minnesota

Cashier Job Description

The basic job of any cashier in a retail environment. I work for good managers who are willing to assist me at all times. I work with nice employees who make the hours fly by. The environment is a playful one: not too strict but relatively casual. Day to day, I do countless transactions for customers. The most difficult aspect is trying to get new customers to sign up for our rewards program. That can be stressful.

Dicks Sporting Goods Interview Questions

My interview was very casual. I came referred so they already had an idea of what kind of employee I would be. My two interviews (one with each manager) lasted less than 30 minutes a piece and they asked pretty general questions. Do you have previous retail experience? Best customer experience? Worst customer experience? Tell me about a time you had to work with a team.

Salary and Benefits
Salary - Dicks Sporting Goods, Cashier is $9/Hourly.
I didn't receive any other benefits since I was only working there part time. However, the employee discount is 25% which is nice especially for those of us who are athletes or like to exercise.

Working Conditions
Like I said, work is a fun place to be. I like the people I work with. The atmosphere is very relaxed, very casual. We all enjoy our managers in all reality. They don't ask for too much but expect quality people to work there. I feel very safe in my work environment.

Physical Requirements
As a cashier, I am always standing on my feet. But most of the time, there isn't any extra lifting to be done on my part.
