In order to receive one of these prestigious awards a person must first become an employee of CVS. CVS Pharmacy offers a wide range of careers, including:

 

  • Pharmacy Technician: inputs prescription information into the pharmacy system, verifies prescription information, provides in-person customer service to prescription holders, provides limited consultations to prescription holders
  • Shipping and Receiving Clerk: ships and receives merchandise, verifies authenticity of merchandise, maintains inventory of materials
  • Cashier: provides in-person customer service, processes customer transactions, prices merchandise, stocks shelves, checks inventory, processes returns and exchanges, maintains store appearance and cleanliness, performs opening and closing duties


There are also positions that help the distribution of goods throughout the company. Employees in these positions are in charge of delivering the goods to each location and making sure the correct goods end up in the correct places. Finally, executive leadership positions are available to maintain fiscal security throughout the company. Employees in these positions are in charge of purchasing and general management. Like many other companies, CVS maintains a goal of promoting from within the company for senior positions.
