Applebees, Server Job Review and Interview Questions

1 Star Rating for Applebees, Server Rating by Applebees Server

Ugh...sometimes people can suck at Applebees

Location: Miami, Florida

Server Job Description: My job entails waiting on rude people who leave little money. I take orders, try to upsell, bring drinks and food in a timely fashion, do lots and lots of behind the scenes work that people don't see, deal with crappy schedules and bad hours all while I put myself through college.

Salary $3/ Hourly

Applebees Interview Questions

Relaxed. Once you are granted your first interview and you pass, the general manager will then speak with you for your second interview. You will then fill out a personality assessment and get hired!

Working Conditions

Working conditions are not bad. Our management is not that difficult to deal with, and scheduling is done fairly. At least I'm not working outside in the hot Florida sun.

More on Salary and Benefits

$3.17/hr + tips. Most of the money I make is from tips.

Physical Requirements

Plates can become very heavy and hot. I have many scars from hot plates. You are also required to stand for long periods of time. (Usually 5-12 hours)

Other Applebees Job Information

Not all is bad. Our Applebees location brings in people from the ghetto (for lack of a better term), and they typically feel it is ok to run someone to death and then tip them nothing. Gotta love the feeling of power!
