Licensed Insurance Professional Job Description: I sell insurance from a customer service perspective, which means that I explain to the client what their current coverage offers them, and then I offer them alternatives. I explain how the coverage works, and then find out what they really need. I help make the claims process smoother and easier to understand so that my clients know what to expect as far as time lines, and expectations, and what their duties are as insureds after a loss, and explain what is covered and what is not. I also bring things to their attention as far as chances to broaden their coverage with very little premium increase.

My boss interviewed me for almost two hours. Considering that I have seven years of insurance experience under my belt, I still felt challenged during the interview when he asked me some of the trickier interview questions such as what are my best attributes and what do I think are my weaknesses? He tested my product knowledge, my customer service skills, my sales techniques. I was impressed by how thorough he was and that was one of the reasons why I wanted to work in his office. My boss is really on top of things.

Working Conditions

I work with a team of three other people who are highly experienced in their fields and licensed as I am, as general insurance agents. Working as a team guarantees all of us will be able to get our work done together,and make the sales goals we all have to meet. Our slogan would be the Three Musketeers slogan, all for one and one for all...There is no office politics in my office. I love it there!

Physical Requirements

Be at the office every day at nine am ready to take on anything that comes my way, dressed to kill, alert, organized, and focused. Work from nine am to five thirty or six pm each night.
