Shift Supervisor Job Description

As a CVS Shift Supervisor I had to open the store, which meant I had to be there an hour before we opened to count the drawers from the night before and ensure all of the money was in the right place. I also had to close the store which meant count as many drawers as I could before it was closing time. On Sundays, they always scheduled me to work 11 hours, open to close. I also had to deal with customer issues, watch all of the other employees, and fill in as cashier, photo technician or as a cashier in the pharmacy if needed.

CVS SalaryThe highest I was paid at CVS was $9.25 an hour. When I first became a Shift I only got a .25 raise an hour.
Working ConditionsI was never properly trained as a photo technician or shift supervisor. I was trained as a cashier in the right way. I was thrown into responsibilities when I did not know what to do. Our store was robbed while I was the cashier and after that I asked that I not open by myself anymore and they still made me. I was also questioned about the way I handled the intruder.
Physical RequirementsDuring truck I had to push a boat (a large flat hand truck) full of any amount of heavy boxes.
CVS Interview InformationI was given a short interview at CVS and then that day the manager started to train me on the cash register.
